We are gearing up and getting ready to put on a fabulous three-day event April 13, 14 & 15, 2012. Since we’ve increased the festival to be three incredible days this year, we are going to need three times the help!
We are looking for responsible, capable and enthusiastic people to join our wonderful team of dedicated volunteers in 2012 to ensure a fabulous and flawless event.
Events and times where volunteers are needed:
What: LAFF 2012 Opening ceremonies
When: Friday, April 13, 2012
Time: 5 – 10:30 pm (*volunteers for this event need to be available for the entire shift only)
Where: Franco-American Heritage Center, Cedar Street, Lewiston.
Possible volunteer positions include:
1). Ushers: duties include greeting guests as they arrive, directing them to the appropriate area for that time, checking tickets and directing ticket holders to their appropriate ASSIGNED seat. Making sure that attendees have returned to their seats after intermission and that all attendees are in the appropriate area(s). You will be able to seek assistance from the head usher and/or organizers if needed.
2). Merchandise: Some volunteers may be needed to man a merchandise table. You will assist a festival organizer in the selling of Don McLean merchandise.
3). Guard: Volunteers may be assigned to guard specific doors to the venue to ensure that non-ticket holders do not gain access to the event.
*Please note that although we would love for you to be able to watch the show, we can not provide a seat for you as those are all for paying ticket holders. You will, however, be allowed to stand in the wings and watch if you are not needed elsewhere. We will need volunteers for this day who can work the entire shift. We have a limited amount of volunteer positions needed for this particular event.
What: Saturday Screenings

There will be a Venue Coordinator in charge to help answer any question you may have and as a resource to you.
2.) Headquarter volunteer: Volunteers at our LAFF headquarters will be stationed at Lewiston Auburn Magazine’s office and will assist the venue coordinator in tasks including, but not limited to, sales and guest relations.
