The Peloton Project

Executive Producer – Patrick Dempsey
Director – Ramsey Tripp
Producer – Laura Davis

The Peloton Project is a documentary film that follows the lives of nearly 40 cyclists as they took on this year’s 2012 Cancervive Peloton Project. Team members must train for a year while raising support for cancer care in their community. On October 3rd, the Peloton team embarked on a 2,500-mile journey from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Lewiston, Maine, for the Dempsey Challenge. They completed the ride in just 10 days, cycling relay-style day and night. This means that each of the six teams must complete 100 miles in their 6-hour leg of the relay in order to stay on schedule. Woven throughout the team’s journey across North America will be stories of cancer survivors, caregivers, and a person who has just been diagnosed.

The Peloton Project will look closely at the people behind the cancer diagnoses to see what life is like for them before and after cancer and how they find strength to face the challenge ahead.

The world premiere of The Peloton Project will take place opening night of LAFF 2013, Friday April 5th.
