Tangled 8 is a unique anthology of short films that explores the nature of grief through the eyes of eight different couples. Originally written as a single short, director John E. Seymore, inspired by the musical idea of variations on a similar theme, decided to expand the idea into eight pieces, using a range of visual and directorial styles.

By recreating the same scene with characters of different ages, ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations, all in different phases of the grieving process, Tangled 8 crafts a meditation on the nature of love and loss that pays homage to filmmaking itself with nods to filmmakers from John Ford to Edward Burns.
